5 arms smugglers arrested from Nalanda
Bihar-Jharkhand News Today LIVE: A joint team of police and STF has busted an interstate arms smuggling gang in Laheri police station area of Nalanda district. In this raid conducted on secret information, five miscreants have been arrested, out of which four are residents of Jamshedpur (East Singhbhum) of Jharkhand. Police have recovered 153 rounds of AK-47 cartridges, 5 country-made pistols, 11 magazines, 9 mobiles and a Scorpio from them.
The arrested smugglers include Parvez Alam of Bihar Sharif and four others (Saurabh Jha, Jiyar Zai, Mohd. Mehboob and Zahid Hussain) of Jamshedpur. All of them were busy in arms deal in Sohankuan locality of Laheri, when the police caught them. At present, the police is investigating to find out the gang’s network and supply chain of weapons.
Suspended IAS officer Vinay Chaubey’s troubles increase
The troubles of suspended Jharkhand IAS officer Vinay Choubey, caught in the disproportionate assets case, are not showing signs of ending. The latest revelations have revealed that Vinay Chaubey had purchased a big property in the name of his wife in the year 2019, which is linked to a CBI accused.
The investigation found a shocking fact that this property, worth about Rs 1 crore in the market, was purchased for only Rs 26 lakh. This property was taken from a person who is already an accused in a CBI case. Buying a building worth crores at a low price is now under investigation, due to which the siege of Vinay Chaubey has intensified.

To make the process of purchasing paddy from farmers transparent and easy in Ranchi district, work has been started rapidly at 43 procurement centers. To protect farmers from exploitation by middlemen during paddy procurement, the administration has taken a strict stance and has issued instructions to take strict legal action against them. The Deputy Commissioner of Ranchi has appealed to the farmers and common citizens of the district that if they get any information about the activity or irregularity of any kind of middlemen in paddy procurement, then they should immediately share it on the ‘Abua Sathi’ WhatsApp number of the district. The main objective of this initiative of the government is to remove middlemen from the system and provide fair price to the farmers for their produce directly in their accounts.

Doctor’s attempt to kidnap failed in Chhapra, saved his life by jumping from moving car
