Xiaomi’s subsidiary Redmi is preparing to launch Redmi 15C 5G in India today. This phone is being offered in the budget category and is the successor phone of its previous model Redmi 14C 5G. Even before the launch, the company has revealed many features of the phone. It has also released a teaser on its official page. On the teaser page, it is written about the phone, ‘Bigg Boss of 2026’. Redmi 15C 5G has a large 6.9-inch display and 120Hz refresh rate, which makes the experience of gaming and watching videos smooth. This phone will run on Xiaomi HyperOS 2 based on Android 15.
According to reports, the price of the base variant (4GB RAM + 128GB storage) of Redmi 15C 5G can be ₹ 12,499. Additionally, 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB options may be available for ₹13,999 and ₹14,999 respectively.
If this price is correct, then it will be costlier than its previous model Redmi 14C 5G, whose launch price was ₹ 9,999 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant. The phone will be offered in three colors, Midnight Black, Moonlight Blue and Dusk Purple. After launch, it can be purchased from Amazon and Xiaomi India website.
Features and specifications of Redmi 15C 5G
The phone has a large battery of 6,000mAh, which guarantees long-term use. The company claims that the battery will retain 80 percent capacity even after 1,000 charge cycles. This battery gives approximately 23 hours of YouTube, 106 hours of music and 330 hours of standby time. The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset and supports up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
Talking about camera setup, it includes a 50MP AI main camera and another AI supported camera. Apart from this, AI-features like Google’s Circle to Search will also be available in the phone. TUV Rhineland certification has been given on the display, which is good for eye protection.
It would not be wrong to say that Redmi 15C 5G can become a great option in the budget smartphone segment with its big screen, powerful battery and AI camera features.
