Agra: Due to the construction of metro in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, people were facing heavy traffic jam for a long time. Especially on MG Road, people here had to remain stuck in the traffic jam for several hours. Due to the metro work, barricading was done at various places, due to which the road became narrow and the situation of jam remained constant.
But, now the construction work of Metro has been completed in many parts of MG Road and barricading has been removed, due to which the problem of jam has almost ended. Barricades have also been removed from the road leading to the district hospital. Earlier, patients and ambulances had to remain stuck in traffic jams for hours, but now people have got great relief.
The way to go to the district hospital became easier
The road was narrow due to the metro work on the district hospital route, but now the road has been widened from the district headquarters to the front of the District Magistrate’s residence. After the removal of the barricade, there is no jam situation here. Now it has become easier for patients, ambulances and common citizens to reach the district hospital without jam.
According to Metro officials, to reduce the problem of jam in the city, the construction work is being completed rapidly so that people do not face any inconvenience in commuting. Also, they can get relief from the jam as soon as possible.
Metro construction work on Mahatma Gandhi Marg (MG Road) of Agra is progressing very fast. After completing the work on many routes, barricading has been removed, which has brought great relief to the people from the jam. However, barricades are still installed on some routes, which have been said to be removed soon. Officials say that to complete the work quickly, metro construction is being done even at night.
Similarly, construction is also going on on Agra-Delhi Highway. There is a problem of jam here due to barricading, but work is being done on this route at a fast pace. At present, people are facing maximum jam on this highway.
