Maruti Suzuki said that due to the increase in cost, the company has to increase the price of selected models.
The country’s largest car company Maruti Suzuki India (Maruti Suzuki) has announced to increase the price of its various models by Rs 22,500. The company said that this price increase will come into force with immediate effect. According to the company, the prices of all models except the Celerio and Swift have been increased.
New prices apply from Friday only
In the information sent to the stock markets, Maruti said, due to the increase in various costs, the company has to increase the prices of selected models. The prices of various models in Delhi showrooms have been increased by 1.6 percent on an average. The company said that the new prices have come into effect from Friday itself. The company sells various models from Alto to S-Cross in the Indian market. The price of these models in Delhi showroom is 2.99 lakh to 12.39 lakh rupees.

Earlier on 18 January this year, the company had announced to increase the price of selected models by Rs 34,000. Even then the company had said that the cost of input cost would increase. The company recently released the production figures for cars in March 2021, stating that the company has produced a total of 1,72,433 units of cars last month. While the company produced 92,540 units of cars in the same month last year.
