Delhi Crime News: Delhi Police has arrested three accused, revealing a sensational robbery case that took place in Ranjit Nagar area. All these accused have previously worked as delivery boys in BlinkIt and Zomato. Police have recovered cash, bike, mobile phones from the looted amount and have also frozen a bank account. The whole matter is of 22 October 2025, when Rs 5 lakh was looted from a delivery employee of Blinkit.
The incident happened when the victim delivery boy was passing through Ranjit Nagar on a scooter with the day’s collection money. As soon as he reached in front of Satya Park near Shadipur, three youths came on a motorcycle and blocked his path. The accused threatened him and snatched a bag containing Rs 5 lakh and fled. The police team reached the spot and based on the statement of the victim, an FIR was registered and investigation was started.
Considering the seriousness of the matter, a special team was formed under the supervision of SHO Ranjit Nagar. The team scanned the footage of many CCTV cameras of the surrounding areas. The motorcycle was identified from the footage which turned out to be stolen. After this the police studied the photographs and movements of the accused closely. On the basis of local sources and secret information, it was revealed that the accused live on rent in Faridpuri area and are originally from Gonda, Uttar Pradesh.
Police tracked his location with the help of mobile number and CDR which was found in Gonda. After this the team immediately raided Gonda in UP and arrested the three accused Ram Avtar alias Ram, Sikandar and Veeru Sonkar.
During interrogation, Ram Avtar told that they had divided the looted amount among themselves. On his information, the police recovered ₹ 1,37,500 in cash. Accused Veeru had bought a motorcycle with the looted money, which was confiscated by the police. He had also bought an iPhone, which was recovered by the police. Accused Sikandar had deposited his share of Rs 1,53,000 in the bank, which has now been frozen by the police.
The three accused also confessed that they were accompanied by a fourth accomplice, Manoj, who works in an outlet of Blinkkit. It was Manoj who had informed them as to when and how much money the victim would leave with. He even told the number, color and other details of the scooter. The police is now busy searching for him.
Police revealed that these accused have been arrested for the first time, but they have also admitted their involvement in two other snatching incidents that took place in Ranjit Nagar. In this major action, the police have recovered cash, bike, mobile phone and clothes worn at the time of the crime. The police is now investigating the case further and a team has been deployed to arrest the absconding accused.
