Himachal News: Sukhu government in Himachal Pradesh has fired four doctors from their jobs. These four were not coming for duty for a long time. Orders in this regard have been issued by the Health Department and the reasons for termination have also been given.
Shimla. Sukhu government in Himachal Pradesh has fired four doctors from their jobs. Major action has been taken against four doctors for negligence in the health department. Four doctors of Shimla’s Super Specialty Hospital Chamiyana and IGMC have been punished for being absent from duty. Orders in this regard have been issued by Health Secretary M Sudha Devi.
According to the order, all these doctors have been dismissed from their jobs for missing without knowledge and permission. The important thing is that now all these doctors cannot claim re-appointment.
According to the orders, action has been taken against Dr. Naveen Kumar, Assistant Professor, posted in the Pediatrics Department of IGMC Hospital, Shimla, Dr. Tushar Patial, Assistant Professor, Plastic Surgery Department, Chamiyana Super Specialty Hospital, Dr. Vikas Kumar, Assistant Professor, CTVS Department, Chamiyana and Dr. Kunal Mahajan, Assistant Professor, Cardiology Department, Chamiyana Super Specialty.
What argument did Dr. Vikas give?
Assistant Professor Dr. Vikas Kumar, posted in the CTVS department of Chamiyana (Shimla), was absent from duty without permission since July 31, 2022. It is being told that Dr. Vikas Kumar had applied to the government on July 1, 2022, that he has been selected for the post of Associate Professor in AIIMS Bilaspur and in such a situation, Laprap should relieve him and give him Noli. However, from July 31, 2022, Vikas stopped coming for duty. Dr. Vikas was appointed on 26 April 2022. He worked for only 2 months and 22 days and was absent for three consecutive years. Show-cause notice was issued to him on 5 August 2025, however, his written reply was not accepted by the government and because he had joined AIIMS Bilaspur without permission.
It has been said in the order that due to his long absence, academic activities in the department, services of patients and studies of UG-PG students were being disrupted. On this basis, with the approval of the competent authority, the services of Dr. Vikas Kumar have been considered terminated with effect from July 31, 2022. It has been made clear in the order that they will not be able to claim reappointment or reinstatement to this post again.
