Bareilly News: Bareilly police arrested the Love Jihadi reward murder accused after an encounter. Accused Arif alias Guddu was shot in both his legs. The accused lived in live-in relationship with the girl for one and a half years. When he was satisfied, he killed the girl and ran away.
Ram Vilas Saxena/Bareilly. Police’s ‘Operation Langra’ is bearing fruit in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. In this sequence, a fierce encounter took place between the police and notorious history-sheeter Arif alias Guddu at Dohra Tiraha of Bithri Chainpur police station area late on Wednesday evening. During this time, in retaliation by the police, Arif was shot in both his legs and he was arrested.
A reward of Rs 25 thousand was announced on Arif
After the murder, Bareilly SSP had announced a reward of Rs 25,000 on Arif and three special police teams were deployed to search for him. The accused was hiding in many places including Kishanganj, Guwahati and Delhi in Bihar. On Wednesday, he had come to Bareilly Court to get information about the appearance of his case, when on the information of the informer, Bithri Chainpur police surrounded him at Dohra Tiraha.

As soon as the police challenged, Arif started firing at them. In self-defence, the police also retaliated, in which Arif was shot in both his legs and he fell on the spot. Police have recovered a country-made pistol and a large quantity of live cartridges from him. In injured condition, Arif has been immediately sent to the district hospital, where he is undergoing treatment under the supervision of heavy police force. According to police officials, Arif alias Guddu is a dreaded history-sheeter and 26 serious cases including murder, robbery, dacoity are registered against him in various police stations.

SP North Bareilly Mukesh Kumar Mishra said, “Under Operation Langra, criminals are being continuously cracked down on. A dangerous criminal like Arif has been caught alive. He is now in the clutches of the law and strict action will be taken in all cases including the murder of the girl.”
