Baran. In the name of Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima, the insurance company has cheated the farmers of Rajasthan. In the claim distribution of Kharif 2021, the insurance company has transferred a nominal amount to the farmers’ account. At the same time, due to the excessive rains in 2021, the farmers did not even get the claim for crop failure. Annadata is surprised to see the claim amount in the farmers’ account after the tussle between the central and the state government. The claim amount of Rs.2, Rs.3, Rs.5 and Rs.10 has come in the account of many farmers.
According to officials of the Agriculture Department, claims of Rs 140 crore are being issued to about 55 thousand farmers of Baran district. But they are shying away from providing the complete details of the claim.

Farmer Satyanarayan Singh of Balakheda village of Kishanganj tehsil of Baran district told that he cultivates 11 bighas of land. There every year my premium is deducted by the bank. Premium was deducted in the year 2019. Then in 2021 also my premium was deducted. After this, my name was added to the list of crop failure made by Tehsil and administration. But I did not get the claim of crop damage from the company. Premium was deducted from me in the year 2019, 2020, 2021. This premium was Rs 2,700, but I did not get the insurance claim all the three times. While I suffered 70 percent loss due to crop failure.
On the other hand, Mathani resident farmer Naval Kishore told that he had cultivated soyabean in 45 bighas. The crop was standing ready in the field, but due to excessive rain, the entire crop was destroyed. I had to bear the loss of six lakh rupees. Whereas, my premium was deducted by nine and a half thousand rupees. But only Rs 4,500 has come to my account as assistance, which is not even half of the deducted premium.
Agriculture department officials are giving clarification on the arrival of less claim amount
Deputy Director of Agriculture Atish Kumar told that for the first time a claim of Rs 140 crore has been issued to the farmers of the district. Claims have been issued to the farmers on the basis of loss due to crop failure. The amount has been deposited in the accounts of many farmers. While the claim amount is yet to come in the account of many. However, there are some farmers in whose account claim amount of Rs.2, Rs.3, Rs.5 and Rs.10 has come. The officials of the department are trying to cover up on this.
