Jhansi latest news: Veerangana Lakshmibai The major work of laying ballast-less track at Jhansi railway station has started from 25th November, which will continue till 8th January 2026. During this period, keeping in mind the convenience of passengers, Railways has changed the routes of 29 trains and canceled 18 trains completely. Many trains will now run through alternative routes, so passengers must check their train information before travelling.
Jhansi: The work of laying ballast-free (blast-free) tracks on a large scale has started at Veerangana Lakshmibai Jhansi Railway Station. Due to this work, which will run from 25 November to 8 January 2026, the railway administration has changed the route of many trains, while some trains have been cancelled. Passengers must check the status of their trains before travelling.
track replacement work begins
The work of laying new ballast-less track on platform number 3 of Jhansi railway station is going on at a fast pace. This work will continue for a long period, due to which train operations will be affected. Railways has taken many important decisions keeping in mind the safety and construction work.
18 trains were canceled
18 trains have been temporarily canceled due to track construction. Passengers will have to find alternatives for travel on these dates. Major canceled trains are as follows.
Train number 07076 Gorakhpur–Hyderabad special. Canceled from 30 November to 4 December.
Train number 07075 Hyderabad–Gorakhpur special. Canceled from 28th November to 2nd December.
Train No. 09044 Barhani – Bandra Terminus. Canceled from 1st December to 5th December.
Train number 09043 Bandra Terminal – Barauni Special. Canceled from 30 November to 4 December.
Train number 06597 Yesvantpur – Yog Nagari Rishikesh Express. Canceled from 27th November to 1st December.
Train number 06598 Yoga Nagari Rishikesh – Yesvantpur Special. Canceled from 30 November to 1 December.
29 trains will run on the changed route
Due to increase in work at Jhansi station, 29 trains will be operated through diverted routes. These trains will not pass through Jhansi. These include major trains.
Train No. 12172 Haridwar – Lokmanya Tilak Terminus. From 28th November to 6th December via Mathura-Bayana-Sagriya-Ruthiyai-Bina route.
Train No. 22456 Kalka – Sion Nagar Shirdi Express. From 27th November to 4th December via this changed route.
Train number 22408 Hazrat Nizamuddin – Ambikapur Express. From 25th November to 6th December via Gwalior-Guna-Bina route.
Train number 09466 Darbhanga–Ahmedabad Express. From December 1 to December 5 via Kanpur-Etawah-Gwalior-Guna route.
Train number 11123 Gwalior – Barauni Mail. Diverted from Gwalior-Etawah-Kanpur route.
Train number 11124 Barauni – Gwalior Mail. From 24th November to 7th December via Kanpur-Etawah-Bhind-Gwalior route.
Train number 04137 Gwalior – Barauni special. From Gwalior-Etawah-Govindpuri route.
Train No. 22129 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus – Ayodhya Cantt. From 25th November to 6th December via Mahoba-Khajuraho-Lalitpur route.

Railways has requested passengers to check the status of their trains before making their travel plans. Railways is continuously issuing updates to ensure that passengers do not face any trouble due to changing routes and canceled trains.
