Lucknow: Concern has increased in the jail administration regarding the health condition of senior Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan. On Saturday, when two doctors from the district hospital reached the district jail to meet him and examine him. The team of doctors included physicians, surgeons and eye doctors. Azam Khan himself refused to treat him. After his decision the administration became alert. According to sources, recently Azam Khan had even refused to meet his family. He has been sentenced to seven years in jail in two PAN card cases, while his son Abdullah has been sentenced to seven years in two passport cases.
The doctors included General Physician Dr. Haseeb and Surgeon Dr. Arif Rasool. He reached jail on Saturday, but due to Azam Khan’s refusal, his visit could not be successful. However, the eye specialist had examined his eyes a day earlier. The jail administration is constantly monitoring his health and he is being given medicines from time to time. Even before entering jail, Azam Khan was not well, and he had to undergo treatment in Delhi. There has been no statement from the jail administration in this matter.
