Patna. In a major action, the UP ATS team has arrested Nitesh Singh alias Maharaj, the most wanted criminal of Bihar and the founder of Azad Hind Fauj. A reward of 50 thousand, this infamous criminal Nitesh Singh has been arrested from Lucknow. On the basis of secret information, the UP ATS team nabbed Nitesh Singh near the Avadh bus stand located in Vibhuti Khand. The UP ATS team is currently questioning him. It is being told that 17 cases of heinous crimes like robbery, extortion, extortion and murder have been registered against him in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur, Motihari Shivhar, Sitamarhi and other districts.
According to the information received, criminal cases are also registered against Nitesh Singh in UP. The ATS team is busy questioning him about that too. UP’s STF SSP Vishal Vikram Singh has told that the arrested Nitesh Singh has been the founder of Azad Hind Fauj. He is a resident of Tariyani Chhapra in Sheohar district.
During interrogation, he has given information that in his childhood, Naxalites had killed his uncle and cousin, to avenge this, he formed an organization named Azad Hind Fauj. In this, the youth were taught to use jointed weapons and revenge was also taken.

Police has also been informed by Nitesh Singh alias Maharaj that he has been involved in the killing of Maoist leaders like Kailash Ram, Shivji Ram, Ramchandra Sahni, Sunil Gupta. Nitesh Singh has also been accused of the mass murder in Motihari’s Pakdidayal.
It is being told that he has gone to jail in different cases in many districts of Bihar. According to the information received, he was absconding since the murder of Rajesh Rai in 2019, although the police was continuously engaged in his search. Ultimately he got caught by the police.
