New Delhi. Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot said that 5534 new EV three-wheelers have been registered after the introduction of Delhi EV policy. We are constantly receiving positive feedback from OEMs that many people have expressed a desire to switch from ICE to electric vehicle.

Delhi government has been giving a subsidy of 30 thousand rupees for the promotion of e-rickshaws for the last few years. After the EV policy, the same subsidy is being given on e-cart loaders and e-autos.

Up to Rs 7500 is being given for scraping and de-registering old CNG auto rickshaws registered in Delhi. Road tax and registration fee is also waived for all electric three wheelers.

In Delhi, e-auto can become a means of traveling to any place. Delhi government will soon come up with a scheme to facilitate easy registration of e-autos in Delhi.

Kailash Gehlot said that under the EV policy by Delhi government, the subsidy given on electric three-wheelers reduces their price by 26 percent. Under Delhi’s EV policy, 177 three-wheeler models are available for purchase and 68 manufacturers are offering scrap incentives.
