Jamshedpur: Due to the ongoing developmental works in Adra Division of South Eastern Railway, there have been changes in the operation of many passenger and MEMU trains during December 2025. According to the notification issued by the Railways, this temporary arrangement will also affect the trains passing through Tatanagar station, the main railway junction of Kolhan region. Railway administration has appealed to the passengers to get updated information before travelling.
Trains completely cancelled:
According to Railways, the following trains will be completely canceled on the scheduled dates.
1. Train No. 68046/68045 Asansol–Adra–Asansol Memu Passenger will remain canceled on 16 December 2025.
2. Train No. 68053/68054 Adra-Barabhum-Adra MEMU Passenger will remain canceled on 21 December 2025.
3. Train No. 68077/68078 Adra–Bhaga–Adra MEMU Passenger will remain canceled on 16 December 2025 and 20 December 2025.
Due to cancellation of these trains, passengers of Adra, Asansol, Barabhum and Bhaga sections may have to resort to alternative means.
Partially operated trains:
Due to development work, some trains will not run to their scheduled originating or terminating stations.
1. Train No. 18019/18020 Jhargram–Dhanbad–Jhargram Express will be short terminated and short originated from Bokaro Steel City on 15 and 18 December 2025.
2. Train No. 13503/13504 Bardhaman–Hatiya–Bardhaman MEMU will be short terminated and short originated from NSCB Gomo on 15 and 18 December 2025.
3. Train No. 68056/68060 Tatanagar–Asansol–Barabhum MEMU will operate from Adra station only on 16 December 2025 and will not reach Tatanagar station.
4. Train No. 63594/63593 Asansol–Purulia–Asansol Memu Passenger will be short terminated and short originated from Adra on 21 December 2025.
Impact on Tatanagar station
Tatanagar Railway Station is a major rail junction of Jharkhand, from where a large number of passengers travel daily for West Bengal, Odisha and other states. Partial operation of MEMU trains originating from and coming from Tatanagar may cause special inconvenience to daily commuters, students and working people.
The railway administration has appealed to the passengers for cooperation and said that after the completion of the development work, the operation of trains will be normalized. Railways has expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to the passengers.
