To start making green chilli halwa, first wash the green chillies thoroughly, remove their seeds and cut them into two parts from the middle. After this, boil these chillies for about 5–6 minutes, so that their spiciness reduces to a great extent. After this boiling process, it is necessary to cool the chillies. After cooling, grind these chillies finely in a mixer and prepare a smooth paste for halwa.
After preparing green chilli paste, now heat desi ghee in a pan and add green chilli paste into it and fry well on low flame. This mixture has to be fried until it starts releasing ghee. When the mixture starts releasing ghee, add milk, sugar, small pieces of cheese and mawa in it. Keeping all these things in mind, cook while stirring continuously. In the last stage of cooking, add cardamom powder and dry fruits and mix well. When the halwa becomes thick and starts leaving the pan, then understand that your green chilli halwa is ready.
Green chilli halwa is not only beneficial for taste but also for health. Green chillies are rich in Vitamin C and antioxidants, which help in increasing the immunity of the body. Apart from this, the body gets protein and calcium from the milk, cheese and mawa used in it, while desi ghee provides energy to the body.
