Mohan Lal Sahu says that there are many options of mixture available in the market, but after eating his mixture once, one feels like eating it again and again. The reason for this is special salt and good quality ingredients. Their mixture includes items made from gram flour and gram dal, due to which its taste becomes even more special. In the mixture, fine sev, chivda, ratlami sev, arthritis, maize, peanuts, gram dal and lentils are mixed in balanced quantity. Onions and fried green chillies on top make it even more delicious as a tasting item.
Mohan Lal Sahu has been doing this business for the last three years. His shop is open daily from 4 pm to 10 pm. As soon as evening comes, people who like to mix start gathering at Dalli Chowk. The price of the mixture is Rs 240 per kg, while people can taste it by taking 35 grams of the mixture for Rs 10. This is the reason why children, youth and elderly all like to stop here and take the mixture.
Struggle-filled story of Mohan Lal Sahu
There is also a story of struggle of Mohan Lal Sahu behind this business. He says that before starting mixer work, he used to work as a laborer, where he could get only Rs 100 to 150 per day. During this time, his leg was broken in an accident. After treatment and recovery, his wife Lukeshwari Sahu advised him to leave his labor and do some other work. After this, husband and wife together started the mixer business.
Lukeshwari Sahu says that she has four daughters and this work is very important for her for their upbringing. He told Local 18 that earlier someone else used to do mixer work in the same area, but after his death, they decided to take this business forward. Today, the result of this hard work is that salty mixture worth up to Rs 3000 is sold every day.
