Amroha: The first phase of Special Intensive Review (SIR) in Uttar Pradesh is being completed rapidly across the state. In such a situation, sometimes some problem is coming from some district and sometimes from somewhere else. Recently, five BLOs were suspended for negligence in the SIR process in Shravasti district. Now the sorrow of a BLO in Amroha spilled out in front of DM Sahiba. He told how people talk inappropriately and even threaten. In such a situation, the District Magistrate also handled the situation very comfortably. He explained to the BLO and encouraged him. Let us know the whole matter…
Actually, SIR is going on fast in Amroha district. In this sequence, on Wednesday DM Nidhi Gupta Vats inspected Shiv Inter College of Gajraula. During that time, feedback was taken by talking to BLOs and other employees engaged in the special review campaign. Then BLO Geeta, a resident of Meerut, told her plight to DM Sahiba. He said that there are many people who have two votes each in village and city. When she asks them to cut it, they start threatening her. Talk in the wrong way.
He further said that these people say that they have direct acquaintance with the DM. Will not let a single vote be deducted. DM Nidhi explained this to the BLO lovingly. He said that you should do your work properly. There is no need to be afraid of anyone. If there are votes at two places then you should write to your village head or councilor about this. The BLO agreed to this.
At the same time, during the inspection, DM Sahiba instructed the BLOs to pay special attention wherever work was seen being done at a slow pace. The District Magistrate also interacted with the people present and urged them to fill the forms and submit them on time. He also gave the necessary information to fill the form. He also said that during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), some unruly elements, posing as Booth Level Officer (BLO) or representative of the Election Department, are asking voters for OTP on their mobile numbers to fill the counting form.
DM Nidhi clearly said that in the process of filling the calculation form of SIR, OTP is not being asked at the BLO level. Such activities are suspected under cyber fraud or fraud. If an attempt is made to ask for OTP from any voter through phone call, message or other means, then such calls should not be ignored nor should the OTP be shared.
