As soon as Dhikala Zone opened on 15th November, a huge influx of foreign tourists is being seen here. In this thrilling zone that opened after the monsoon, night stay bookings started getting filled almost from the very first day, this scene has become a sign of relief and emerging hopes not only for the park administration but also for the local businessmen.
This year, the Corbett administration implemented the system of 90 days advance reservation for foreign tourists, which is being considered as a game changer in the tourism world. The impact of this online advance booking facility, started for the first time, was so positive that by January 2026, most of the foreign bookings in Dhikala zone have been completely filled. This has further strengthened Corbett’s international identity.
Foreign tourists are continuously arriving
Jim Corbett National Park is counted among the most popular wildlife destinations in the world. In the last financial year, about 4 lakh tourists arrived here, including 11,300 foreign tourists. But this time, the continuous arrival of foreign tourists as soon as Dhikala opened has brought new energy in the tourism business.

Tourism businessman Ganesh Rawat says that reservation 90 days in advance has increased the number of foreign tourists. He says that if the booking process is made easier in future and fees are balanced, then foreign tourists will come here in greater numbers. Better management, safe environment and modern reservation system together are preparing to put Corbett Park on the global tourism map once again.
