Itanagar/Guwahati: A heart-wrenching road accident has taken place in the Anjaw district bordering Arunachal Pradesh. Here a vehicle went out of control and fell into a deep ditch, due to which 22 people traveling in it are feared dead. As soon as information about the incident was received, the rescue team reached the spot and till now the bodies of 13 people have been recovered.
All these deceased were residents of Tinsukia district of Assam and were daily wage laborers by profession. He was traveling for work, but this journey became the last journey of his life. According to News 18 Assam, the administration has started relief and rescue operations on war footing. There are difficulties in the rescue operation due to the deep ditch and inaccessible area, but the search for the remaining missing people is going on.
