In this survey named ‘India Beauty Test’, 1057 women participated. The study revealed that 68 percent of women were hurt due to rejections, and 74 percent of women believed that there was a lot of pressure on them to look beautiful in the Orange Marriage. At the same time, the same number of women also admitted that they had to face rejections due to not being able to live up to the scale of beauty.

If we look at the data available online, 90 percent of the marriages in India are arranged by marriage (traditional marriage). And the matches here are suggested either by the people or by any website or company. The formula of match making here is also the scale of beauty such as skin color, length and weight. This study examines the matchmakers website / company and people in depth. For example, if a girl has short hair, then in 1000 cases only 1 or 2 have the opportunity to be selected. One such match maker told that in one case the future groom’s mother said – the girl should be fair, the face should be round, the nose should be long, the hair should be long. The long face (V shape face) will not work at all.
