After the age of 30, skin needs start changing, and if proper skincare routine is not adopted at this time, wrinkles, fine lines and dullness start appearing quickly. Understanding this change, Arjun Kapoor’s sister Anshula Kapoor has shared her simple but very effective skincare routine, which she herself follows and maintains glowing skin. These tips are easy, cost-effective and can be useful to every woman who wants to keep her skin healthy, tight and young with increasing age.
Anshula has the first and most basic skincare rule. Changing pillow covers regularly. The day’s dust, sweat, oil and hair products get transferred to the pillow during sleep at night. If the pillow cover is not changed frequently, this dirt can come back on the skin and cause pimples, rashes and infection. Especially after 30, when the skin becomes more sensitive than before, it is very important to sleep on a clean pillow. Anshula suggests that the cover should be changed at least twice a week and if the skin is more acne-prone then silk or satin pillow covers can also be a better option.
keep yourself hydrated
Anshula says that the real secret of beautiful skin is not external products, but hydration from within. After 30, the skin starts becoming dry, due to which fine lines start appearing quickly. Therefore, it is very important to drink enough water throughout the day and include water-rich fruits like watermelon, cucumber, orange, pineapple, strawberry etc. Hydration repairs skin cells, brings glow and makes the skin plump. If your lifestyle is busy then coconut water or infused water is also a good option.
Keep face towels separate and clean
Keeping a separate and clean towel for the face is the third big tip in Anshula’s list. Dirty towels are home to bacteria, which when applied to the skin can cause breakouts, irritation and rashes. She recommends washing the face towel every two days and always drying it in the sun after use. Microfiber towels are considered more gentle on the skin, so they can be adopted as a skin-friendly option.
Clean makeup brushes once a week
Makeup brushes are often ignored, even though they have the biggest impact on the skin. Anshula says that dirty brushes leave a mixture of old makeup, oil, bacteria and dust on your skin, which can clog the pores and increase acne and pimples. Therefore, it is important to deep clean all the brushes at least once a week. This keeps the skin healthy and the finish of the makeup also improves.
