On the other hand, farmer leader Rakesh Tikait is also seen very active these days. However, he says that he will neither contest elections on any party ticket nor will he campaign for anyone. Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait gave an interview to Stuff Unknown regarding the assembly elections to be held in UP, where he was asked whether he is with Chief Minister Yogi?
Rakesh Tikait, reacting to the farmers’ organizations contesting elections said, “If anyone is contesting elections in the country, it is his personal matter. United Front is neither in elections nor will we go for campaigning for anyone. United Front is completely different.” On his talk, the news anchor asked, “Are you here with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath?”
To the news anchor’s talk, Rakesh Tikait replied, “We are not together, who said this. And if you ask, I will tell that we are not with anyone. On his talk, the news anchor took the name of Akhilesh Yadav, to which Rakesh Tikait replied, “We are not with anyone. We will only speak our words. We will talk on payment of sugarcane.”
In the midst of the interview, Rakesh Tikait also invited Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to contest from Muzaffarnagar. Rakesh Tikait said, “Why is he going to Mathura, contest from Muzaffarnagar. It’ll be fine there.” On his talk, the news anchor asked, “Will you challenge?” Responding to this, the farmer leader said, “No, we do not contest elections.”
Rakesh Tikait further said about this, “Why are you going to Mathura, come to Muzaffarnagar and contest free elections. Why are you getting into trouble with the party? Muzaffarnagar is a safe place, so he should contest from there. Anyone who wants to get experience, come there. Those who have filled buses from Shamli, Muzaffarnagar will vote in such a way that they will remember.
