It is very important to consume turmeric in winter. There is one such thing which is found in almost every house. It contains curcumin element which has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It is extremely effective in reducing inflammation and oxidative stress. This is the reason why using turmeric milk or turmeric in cooking is considered very beneficial in this season.
Ginger is also considered very effective in this season. Elements like gingerol and shogaol found in ginger prove to be very beneficial for the lungs.
Some research suggests that ginger reduces the contraction of airways and makes breathing easier. Ginger provides relief from cough and sore throat.
