Apple has taken this initiative at a time when its supplier Taiwanese company Vistron is reviving its factory in India. However, Apple has not yet removed the promotion over Vistron.

PLI scheme was launched by the government in the year 2020

According to the report, now the central government is going to announce another incentive scheme to boost the production of tablets, laptops and servers in the country, whose budget can be 7 thousand crores. Sources said that the Central Government can announce this scheme by the end of February. Because of this, Apple is demanding incentives from the government to manufacture iPads in India. Apart from this, the central government can declare an incentive of Rs 5000 crore for 5 years in the next two months to promote the production of wearable devices such as smartwatches etc.
