The reason for Deoghar Bandh is related to a sad and sensitive incident. Alok Kumar, president of Bhumihar Brahmin Ekta Manch and brother of Bharatiya Janata Party leader Ashutosh Kumar, died in a road accident near Subhash Chowk in Deoghar on the night of 9 December. Since the incident, the family members and supporters of the deceased have been demanding justice. However, regarding this matter, Ashutosh Kumar says that this is not an ordinary road accident but a premeditated murder. He has alleged that JMM Youth District President of Deoghar Rahul Chandravanshi and his brother Chandan Chandravanshi are involved in the murder of his brother. Ashutosh Kumar claims that he has many important evidences in this regard, despite this no accused has been arrested so far.
Bandh call was given through social media
Angered by this, today Ashutosh Kumar came live on social media and called for Deoghar bandh tomorrow. He said that he will not rest until the culprits are arrested in the case of his brother’s death. He has also appealed to the common people and organizations to support the bandh.
What does Deoghar Superintendent of Police say?
Deoghar Superintendent of Police Saurabh Kumar has issued a statement on this entire matter. He said that the police is investigating the matter seriously and action is being taken keeping all the aspects in mind. The SP also made it clear that if any attempt is made to disturb law and order in Deoghar, strict action will be taken.
