Anil Ambani FEMA Case: The country’s well-known businessman Anil Ambani has sought permission from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to appear virtually. ED had asked Anil Ambani to appear personally on Friday under the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA).
Today i.e. on 14th November, ED had summoned Anil Ambani to come to the head quarter in Delhi. On this, Anil Ambani’s spokesperson has issued a statement and said that Anil Ambani is ready to fully cooperate with the agency.
What is the matter?
According to information received from PTI sources, this entire investigation is related to Jaipur Ringas Highway Project. The agency suspects that under the guise of this project, approximately Rs 100 crore was sent abroad through Hawala. Anil Ambani has been summoned in this regard after the agency took statements of alleged hawala dealers and other people.

On behalf of the company, it has been said that the ED summons has been sent to them in a case related to FEMA i.e. Foreign Exchange Management Act, and not in a money laundering case. Giving further information, the company said that, the press release of ED dated November 3, 2025 shows that the matter is related to the Jaipur-Ringas Highway Project.
The company has clarified that Anil Ambani was only a non-executive director in Reliance Infrastructure Limited for almost 15 years from April 2007 to March 2022 and he had no role in the day-to-day work of the company. At present he is not even included in the board of the company. The company further said that the contract for Jaipur Ringas Highway was awarded and it did not involve any kind of foreign exchange transaction.

For the last few days, ED has been taking action against companies associated with Anil Ambani. Recently, a case of fake bank guarantee of Rs 68 crore has been registered against Anil Ambani’s Reliance Power. So far, three people have been arrested in this regard.
