Mumbai. Radhika Merchant and Anant Ambani tied the knot with traditional rituals in the presence of family members and friends on Thursday. The engagement ceremony took place at the Ambani residence in Mumbai. Centuries-old traditions like Gol-Dhana and Chunri Vidhi, passed down from generation to generation among Gujarati Hindu families, were conducted with great enthusiasm at the venue and the family temple. Both the families handed over gifts to each other. A dance performance by the members of the Ambani family under the leadership of Anant’s mother Nita Ambani was the main attraction of the event.
Anant’s sister Isha and other family members first invited Radhika to their merchant residence for the evening’s festivities. After this, the Ambani family warmly welcomed the bride’s side at their residence amid aarti and chanting. Then the whole family accompanied Anant and Radhika to the temple, to seek the blessings of Lord Krishna for the bright future of the couple. From there everyone went to the venue for Ganesh Puja followed by traditional Lagan Patrika recitation. After the gol-dhana and chunri ceremony, gifts were exchanged between the families of Anant and Radhika.

On the occasion of Anant and Radhika’s engagement, eminent personalities from Bollywood and business world were present. These included Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Sachin Tendulkar, Shreya Ghoshal, Rajkumar Hirani, Vidhu Vinod Chopra etc. Apart from this, many eminent personalities from the business world were also present on this occasion.

Sister Isha Ambani announced to start the ring ceremony. Along with this, Anant and Radhika put rings on each other in the midst of family and friends and took their blessings. On this occasion, a statement issued by the family said, ‘Anant and Radhika have known each other for the past few years and today’s engagement ceremony will bring them closer before their wedding in the coming few months. Both families seek everyone’s blessings and best wishes for Radhika and Anant.

Earlier, a large number of guests were invited by the Ambani family for the engagement of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. Many big personalities from Bollywood and business world attended the engagement ceremony. Antilia, the residence of the Ambani family, was decorated with flowers and colorful balloons in view of the engagement of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. Special arrangements were made to welcome the guests.
