Without mentioning the continuous increase in fuel prices, PM Modi said that the middle class would not have had such difficulty if the earlier governments had paid attention to the dependence of energy imports.

Without mentioning the steady increase in fuel prices, PM Modi said that in 2019-20, India has imported 85 percent oil and 53 percent gas to meet its domestic demands. The PM said, “Should we be so dependent on imports?” I do not want to criticize anyone, but I must say that if we had paid attention to this subject, our middle class would not have to bear the burden. It is our collective duty to work towards the sources of clean and green energy and reduce energy dependence.

LPG cylinder prices will be lowerPM Modi said that by coming under the ambit of GST, the prices of LPG or LPG cylinders will be reduced and their prices will be same in the whole country. With this, PM Modi called on investors from all over the world to come and invest in India’s energy sector. PM Modi said that Narendra Modi said that in the next 5 years, the central government plans to spend 7.5 lakh crore rupees in the construction of oil and gas infrastructure.

Tamil Nadu gifted many projects
Giving the state several big projects before the assembly elections in Tamil Nadu, PM Modi dedicated the Ramanathapuram-Thoothukudi Natural Gas Pipeline to the nation. Laying the foundation of several oil and gas projects in Tamil Nadu through video conferencing, PM Modi said that India is reducing dependence from other countries to meet its energy needs. He hoped that by 2030 India would get 40% of its energy needs from renewable sources.
