Indian Railways: Railway administration is continuously taking steps to provide comfortable travel experience to the passengers. In such a situation, Bandhua-Koderma-Dhanbad railway section was inspected. The glass of water remained stable even at a speed of 150 km per hour. Which proved the excellence of the track structure.
Koderma Indian Railways is continuously taking corrective steps in passenger convenience to provide a comfortable travel experience to the passengers. Chhatrasal Singh, General Manager of East Central Railway, conducted window trailing inspection of Bandhua-Koderma-Dhanbad railway section and made a detailed review of the quality of railway infrastructure, safety standards and passenger convenience arrangements. This inspection came as a direct evidence of the technical improvements, modern maintenance practices and high standard track infrastructure made by Dhanbad Division.
The most notable incident of this inspection came to light when the speed of the inspection train reached 150 kilometers per hour. Despite such high speed, no vibration or movement was seen in the glass of water kept in the inspection coach. The water remained completely still. This view is a clear indication of the excellent track structure, robust road-keeping system and high quality of state-of-the-art railway infrastructure of Dhanbad division. According to experts, better ride quality is possible only at high speeds. When the track alignment, sleeper condition and way-keeping works are as per international standards.
Advanced engineering and experienced personnel make the railway section capable of high speed operation.
Railway officials said that the advanced engineering processes, timely inspection system, continuous maintenance management and safety-oriented methodology adopted by Dhanbad Division are the basis of this excellent performance. Regular use of track machines, monitoring with modern measuring instruments and deployment of experienced technical personnel have made the section fully capable of high speed operations.
Providing comfortable rail travel is top priority
After inspection, the General Manager appreciated the work of the officers and employees of Dhanbad Division. He said that providing safe, reliable and comfortable rail travel to the passengers is the top priority of the Railways. He directed the concerned officials to continuously take corrective steps to further strengthen the safety, reliability and passenger facilities of the railway section. Also, keeping in mind the future requirements and possible high speed operations, emphasis was laid on making the maintenance system more modern and effective.
