Amarnath Yatra 2021: According to the sources of Shri Amarnath Shrine Board, the proposal to conduct the Yatra by helicopter this year has also been rejected.
New Delhi. Like last year, due to Coronavirus, there will be no Amarnath Yatra this year too. This year also, only traditional worship will be done with the stick yatra. Also, devotees will be able to watch Aarti live sitting at home. This decision has been taken by Shri Amarnath Shrine Board.
According to sources in the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board, the proposal to conduct the Yatra by helicopter this year has also been rejected. This year also only the stick will come out and worship will be done on the day of Jyeshtha Purnima.
At the same time, in April itself, the registration for the annual visit to the Amarnath cave temple was temporarily suspended due to the situation of Kovid-19.
Offline and online registration for the annual Amarnath Yatra to be held via Baltal and Chandanwadi routes started from April 1 and April 15 respectively. This 56-day journey was to start from June 28 via Pahalgam and Baltal routes and it was to end on August 22.
The Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) had informed in April that in view of the situation arising out of Kovid in the country and in view of the need for all precautionary measures, the registration for Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra has been temporarily suspended.
