Moradabad News: As the cold is increasing in UP, pollution is also becoming a problem for the patients. The district hospital of Moradabad is full of both throat and ear infections. More than 500 patients are reaching OPD every day. The number of patients suffering from viral, skin diseases and stomach infections is also continuously increasing.
Moradabad: The scourge of cold continues in Uttar Pradesh. There is severe winter in Kanpur. Here the night temperature has dropped below 5 degrees. The minimum temperature in most of the districts has fallen below 10 degrees Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department, the cold has increased due to the blowing of northwest winds, north polar winds and lowering of the jet stream. Many different diseases are seen in this changing season. The district hospital of Moradabad is filled with both throat and ear infections. More than 500 patients are reaching OPD every day. Doctors say that this infection is happening due to the changing weather. In such a situation, wear warm clothes. Children and the elderly should be protected from cold by wearing sleeveless clothes.
According to doctors, both changing weather and pollution are causing diseases. Due to increasing levels of pollution, nose, ear and throat diseases have increased. Wounds are forming along with sore throat. More than 500 such patients are reaching the district hospital as well as CHC and PHC every day. The number of patients suffering from viral, skin diseases and stomach infections is also continuously increasing.
More than 500 patients coming to OPD
Dr. Ashish, physician at the district hospital, said that throat and ear infections are increasing due to the changing weather. Its effect is more in people who are not conscious about food and weather. Patients are coming every day with the problem of ear pain. Most of them are children. Apart from this, symptoms like wheezing, strong cough, fever, sore throat are being seen the most. He told that earlier more than 100 patients used to come to OPD every day, but these days more than 500 are coming.
Small children are in danger
He said that the number of patients suffering from asthma, bronchitis, throat infection and difficulty in swallowing is continuously increasing. Pediatrician Dr. Veer Singh said that the problem of vomiting and diarrhea has increased in children in this season. The most common problem is stomach ache. Cases of pneumonia are also coming. Parents are being advised to be careful about the health of children in this season.
Adopt these measures for protection
- Wear a mask or cover your nose and mouth with a handkerchief while leaving the house.
- Small children, elderly and respiratory patients should avoid going out in the morning and evening.
- Gargle with lukewarm water and consume hot beverages.
- Drink sufficient amount of water throughout the day so that the swelling in the throat reduces.
- Keep an air purifier inside the house.
- Avoid dust, clean the house regularly.
- If there is difficulty in breathing, persistent cough, high fever or pain in the throat, contact the doctor immediately.
