Delhi Airport: Gurpreet’s visit to London has become an ‘unsolved puzzle’ for the security agencies deployed at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport. UCF and CFB have also been of no help to the central agencies in solving this puzzle. At the same time, Gurpreet’s silence has increased the problems of the central security agencies.
In fact, on January 14, London’s security agencies had deported Gurpreet Singh to India. Gurpreet was sent to Delhi’s IGI Airport by Air India flight AI-162. The emergency certificate on which Gurpreet was deported from London did not have any information related to him except his name.
In the interrogation of the Immigration Department under the Intelligence Bureau (IB), accused Gurpreet refused to give any information related to his passport and London departure. After which, the immigration officials sought information on the basis of the accused’s name, his father’s name and date of birth, but nothing was received from the airport server.

Finally, the immigration officials first searched the UCF (Unique Case File) and then the CFB (Central Foreigners Bureau) servers, but the results remained cryptic. Now the security officials were left with no option but to believe that Gurpreet had gone to London on someone else’s passport and after reaching there he handed over the passport to its rightful owner.

At present, the immigration officials have handed over Gurpreet to the IGI airport. Airport Police has registered a case against accused Gurpreet under sections 419 and 420 of IPC and arrested him.
