Pilibhit News: Students of a private school in Noida have developed a smart device based on Artificial Intelligence, which detects the sound of tiger, elephant and other wild animals in advance and issues an alert. Equipped with camera sensors and AI technology, this device can prove to be a safety net for people living in areas adjacent to forests.
Pilibhit. Pilibhit district of Uttar Pradesh is often in the news due to human-wildlife conflict. However, this problem is not limited only to the Terai region, rather people living in areas adjacent to forests across the country are also struggling with it. In view of this challenge, students of a private school in Noida, in collaboration with their teachers, have developed a special device, with the help of which it is expected to provide relief to a great extent from the problem of human-wildlife conflict.
Artificial Intelligence is now making its place in every field. Till some time ago, various kinds of speculations were being made regarding this technology. But now this technology is also proving helpful in solving common life problems. Actually, two 10th class students of Noida-based Shiv Nadar School, Jai Sharma and Vinayak Seth, have created an AI based device under the supervision of their mentor Komal Dhawan and other teachers. Students have fed data of all wild animals including tiger, leopard and elephant in this device. With the help of the camera sensor installed in the device, an alarm starts sounding when animals pass within a certain range. Along with this, this device also records the data of related animals which will be useful for scientific studies.
Field testing of device conducted in Pilibhit
Jai Sharma, the student who developed the device, says that he has been interested in wildlife since childhood, hence he keeps getting information about the ever increasing human-wildlife conflict situations. In such a situation, he and his friend Vinayak Seth together presented the idea of making this device to their teachers. With the help of school administration and teachers, he has created this device. He believes that this device will help the villagers living in the areas adjacent to the forest to a great extent. Students have also done field testing of this device in various areas of Pilibhit. But only on the basis of this test they will update the device further.
