Agra News: Action has been taken against a businessman who supplied shoes illegally through fake bills in Agra. Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST) recovered more than 16 thousand pairs of shoes from a warehouse. Now the entire team is searching for the shoe businessman.
Agra: Often many businessmen supply goods illegally to avoid government taxes. A shoe factory businessman from Agra also tried the same trick and used to supply goods from Agra to Uttar Pradesh and many other states with the help of train. For this, the businessman used fake bills and with the help of agents used to send shoes to other places.
Railway parcel service supply by showing fake bill
The entire matter came to light when the Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST) Agra took action on it. The department recovered more than 16 thousand pairs of shoes from a warehouse. Now the entire team is searching for the shoe businessman. Anti-Evasion Branch of CGST Agra received information that shoes were being supplied illegally through Railway Parcel Service by showing fake bills. As soon as the information was received, the team raided a warehouse located in Radha Vallabh’s garden on Saturday night. In the one day long operation, CGST recovered 16 thousand pairs of packed shoes. The value of these shoes without bills is being estimated at 1.25 crores.
Digital evidence also recovered during the operation
According to the news of Amar Ujala, during the action, the police seized computers, laptops and mobile phones of agent Amit Singh from the warehouse. Now the police is trying to reach the accused with the help of this evidence. From the data recorded in the laptop, it will be ascertained where and to which companies this supply has been made. According to reports, during interrogation of Amit Singh, it was revealed that this business was going on for a long time with the help of fake bills and supplies were going on with the help of railway parcels.
