In Muzaffarpur, people are liking the desi arm made by Sonu very much. He has been running his Bhuja shop at one place for 16 years. At the same time, he prepares his arm in a different way.
These days, Sonu’s handmade desi arm is winning everyone’s heart in the Collectorate premises of Muzaffarpur. Sonu has been running a Bhuja shop in the Collectorate premises for the last 16 years and prepares Bhuja in desi style. Especially during the cold days, everyone who is in charge definitely tastes the taste of Sonu’s handmade bhuja.
Sonu is originally from Azamgarh district of Uttar Pradesh. He has studied till 12th. After which, with limited resources and big dreams, he reached Muzaffarpur in search of better employment. The beginning was not easy, but he did not give up and started his journey by setting up a small arm shop in the Collectorate premises.
This is how the arm is prepared
Sonu says that the biggest specialty of his bhuja is its taste, which is completely different from others. They mix a total of eight ingredients to prepare Bhuja, which include gram, raw gram, almonds, corn, papdi, chuda, rice and peas. All these are roasted by adding black salt in the pan, which not only enhances the taste but is also beneficial from health point of view.
The real magic of bhuja lies in their special chutney. The chutney prepared by grinding lemon and chilli makes it more spicy. This chutney completely changes the taste and draws customers to their shop again and again. There are many people who come from far away places just to eat Sonu’s hand.
no work is small
Sonu’s hard work has paid off in terms of earnings too. They make sales of around Rs 2 to 3 thousand every day. According to this, the income ranges from 60 to 70 thousand rupees per month, whereas annually a profit of 7 to 8 lakh rupees is earned by selling arms. The story of Sonu Kumar Gupta is an inspiration for those youth who hesitate in considering small work as big. He believes that no work is small, it should be done with honesty, taste and hard work.
