New Delhi. There is news that Afghan and Pak Taliban (TTP) can join hands amidst the exercise of US Army to return home from Afghanistan. According to information received from intelligence sources, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan has remodeled its organization on the lines of Afghan Taliban to coordinate with the Afghan Taliban. According to sources, this approval has been given after several meetings of TTP’s Advisory Committee Tehreek-e-Shura.
After this approval, in place of many old commanders, new commanders have been given the command of different areas. For example, the governor of Peshawar has been appointed Mukarram Khorasani, who is a close aide of Tehreek-e-Taliban chief commander Umar Khalid Khorasani and head of the Hizb-ul-Ahrar organization.
Similarly, Shahid Umar, who is considered very close to Tehreek-e-Taliban co-chief Maulvi Fakir Mohammad and recently released from Bagram jail, has been appointed as the governor of Bajaur and Malakand. Mufti Burjan of Swat has been appointed as the commander of the Mardan area of North Waziristan. Ustad Alim Khan has been appointed as the Commander of the Bannu Division while Abu Yasir of South Waziristan has been appointed as the Governor of the Dera Ismail Khan Division.
Umar Khalid returned only on this conditionApart from this, many appointments related to welfare, military and intelligence have been made. Umar Khalid Khorasani, who formed Jamaat-ul-Ahrar after breaking away from TTP, had returned on the condition that the TTP’s organizational blueprint would be made on the lines of the Afghan Taliban. Afghan Taliban have good relations with Umar Khalid.
In fact, signs of the TTP joining hands with the Afghan Taliban began to appear from March this year when the Taliban imposed an ambush against Afghan forces in Khost Province, Afghanistan. This is not a new thing in Afghanistan, but the special thing was that the TTP fighters were involved in this. However, the Afghan Taliban took responsibility for this.
Last year’s UN report also mentioned that Pakistan has 6000 fighters in Afghanistan, mostly from TTP. They not only fight for the Afghan Taliban, but also cross the border of Afghanistan and attack the Pakistani army. Actually TTP has been a scourge for Pakistan’s army for years. Hundreds of Pakistan Army soldiers have been killed in its attack.
While the Afghan Taliban have good relations with the Pakistan Army. If the Afghan Taliban and TTP join hands with each other, it is beneficial for both. TTP dominates in many areas along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border. But if it is captured in some way, then TTP can also get participation in it.
In such a situation, after the withdrawal of US forces from Afghanistan, it will be interesting to see what new equations are formed by the alliance between TTP and Afghan Taliban. At present, the Afghan Taliban is writing a new record of terror and brutality through violent action in 26 of the 34 provinces of Afghanistan. The Taliban have complete control in 120 of the total 340 districts of Afghanistan. The Taliban has taken over.
As far as India is concerned, experts believe that after the withdrawal of American troops, a very difficult time is going to come for India in Afghanistan. India has a huge investment there. 50 percent of the American army has returned from Afghanistan. By September 11, the entire American army will return from Afghanistan. In such a situation, the Taliban will become unbridled. On the other hand, Pakistan also constantly instigates the Taliban to harm Indian interests. In such a situation, the Taliban can seriously hurt large Indian investments in Afghanistan.
