Lucknow News: An FIR has been registered under the IT Act against a youth in Alambagh police station for selling videos related to child pornography. The accused has been identified as Manraj Meena, resident of Diesel Colony. This action was taken on the basis of information received from Telangana Cyber Security Bureau, Hyderabad.
Lucknow: An FIR has been registered under the IT Act against a youth in Alambagh police station on serious charges of selling videos related to child pornography through internet media. The accused has been identified as Manraj Meena, resident of Diesel Colony, Alambagh. This action has been taken on the basis of the complaint received from Telangana Cyber Security Bureau, Hyderabad. At present the accused has not been arrested and detailed investigation of the case is going on.
According to Alambagh police station, Telangana Cyber Security Bureau had sent a letter to DG Cyber Crime on September 15, raising the possibility of uploading and selling videos and photos related to child pornography on internet media from two mobile numbers. A mobile number and an ID were mentioned in the complaint, through which illegal content was alleged to be circulated. On the instructions of DG Cyber Crime Binod Kumar Singh, Cyber Crime Cell started investigating the case.
During the investigation, Inspector Inderpal Singh posted in Cyber Crime Cell sent a letter to the concerned telecom company asking for information about mobile numbers. On the basis of SIM customer application form (CAF), it was found that both the mobile numbers are registered in the name of Harikesh Meena, resident of Diesel Colony, Alambagh. After this the number holder Harikesh Meena was called to Alambagh police station. During interrogation, along with Harikesh, his son Manraj Meena also reached the police station.
Police interrogation revealed that both the mobile numbers were being used by Manraj Meena. When the police examined the mobile phone, it was said that records related to suspicious chats and money transactions were found. On the basis of these facts, a report was prepared by the Cyber Crime Cell and sent to Alambagh Police Station through ACP Cyber Cell.
After this, beat in-charge Barha sub-inspector Avnish Kumar filed a case against Manraj Meena in Alambagh police station under sections of the IT Act. According to Alambagh Police, this case is being investigated on the basis of surveillance and technical evidence. However, due to lack of sufficient concrete evidence, the accused has not been arrested and he has been released after giving instructions.
Police officials say that if concrete evidence comes to light during the investigation, further strict legal action will be taken. The police is serious about cyber crimes, especially those related to children, and there will be no negligence at any level in such cases.
