Mandi News: A painful accident has occurred in Sundernagar of Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh. A young laborer died here. Due to landslide from above the dam, the laborer got buried in the mud and died. The labourer’s wife and child narrowly escaped the accident.
Market. A migrant laborer died due to a landslide in Sunder Nagar of Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh. His child and wife narrowly escaped the incident. Police have taken the body into custody and post mortem will be conducted today.
According to the information, construction work is going on near Dental College in Salah Ward of Municipal Council Sundernagar. Workers were engaged in work here. Then suddenly the worker got hit by falling debris and died. The deceased has been identified as Sanjeev Kumar, 26 years of age, Uttar Pradesh.
Sanjeev’s wife and child were also present there during the accident. It was fortunate that the child and wife narrowly escaped being victims of this accident. Immediately after the incident, DSP Sunder Nagar, police station incharge Home Guard along with the team of the district administration reached the spot and started the rescue operation. After about half an hour of hard work, the young man was removed from the debris in a critical condition with the help of JCB. But while being taken to Civil Hospital for treatment, he lost his breath. Confirming the incident, SDM Amar Negi said that the Revenue Department is taking action on the spot and immediate relief will be provided to the deceased family. On the other hand, the team of Sundar Nagar police station reached the spot and registered a case related to the accident and started further investigation.
