A major accident took place in Jejuri, Maharashtra during the celebration of the victory of a leader of Ajit Pawar group in the civic elections. While blowing gulal while celebrating the victory, suddenly a gust of fire broke out, due to which there was chaos on the spot. At least 18 people got burnt in this accident. All the injured have been immediately admitted to the government hospital for treatment. It is a matter of relief that at present no one’s condition is said to be very serious, although the treatment of all the injured is going on. According to eyewitnesses, after the victory the supporters were celebrating by spraying gulal and colours, when suddenly the fire broke out. The clear reason for how the fire broke out has not been revealed yet, but it is suspected that the accident occurred due to contact with some inflammable substance or spark. As soon as information about the incident was received, police and administration reached the spot and brought the situation under control. The administration has ordered an investigation into the matter.
