To make this, 1 cup desi ghee, 1 cup almonds, 1 cup raisins, 1 cup cashew nuts, half cup melon seeds, 2 mace, 2 big cardamoms, 1 cup urad dal, 2 cups powdered sugar, 1 cup desi khand, 40 grams gum, teaspoon dry ginger and 1 cup desi ghee are required for frying.

Method of preparation: Housewife Sumitra Maurya told that dry fruit pinni, made especially in winters, is ready in just 20 minutes. For this, first of all the gum is coarsely ground and roasted in desi ghee until it turns pink. After this, all the dry fruits including almonds, cashews are roasted in ghee till they turn light pink and then ground. Then after washing and drying the urad dal, it is necessary to grind it finely.
After this, desi ghee is poured into a big vessel and the ground urad dal is roasted on low flame while stirring continuously. When the mixture starts giving off aroma, the flame is turned off and it is allowed to cool slightly. After this, roasted gum, ground nuts and other ingredients are mixed and shaped into pinni with hands. In this way, delicious and nutritious dry fruit pinni is prepared for winter.
