According to Dr. Saurabh Parouha, the decoction of Bhataktaiya is effective in providing relief from cough, asthma, fever and body pain. By consuming it, body heat is balanced and the problem of mucus also gets eliminated. This plant also provides relief from problems like stomach ache, gas and indigestion. In case of toothache, inhaling the smoke or decoction of its seeds and gargling with it provides immediate relief. Mouth ulcers are also cured by its consumption. Apart from this, it is also considered very useful in the pain of bladder stones.
