Ambala News: Sambhar’s child has been rescued from a farmer’s house in Ambala, Haryana. A lot of effort had to be made to catch this Sambhar who had entered the house. After rescuing Sambhar, the forest department team released him in the forests of Morni in Panchkula.
Ambala. These days, it has become common for wild animals to come out into residential areas in Ambala district of Haryana. The latest case has come to light from village Dera in Narayangarh area of Ambala district. There was a stir in the house of farmer Raghubir Singh in Dera village of Narayangarh when a Sambar (deer species) came and sat in one of his rooms.
When the nearby villagers got the information, an atmosphere of fear spread in the entire area and people started coming to see him. The same farmer Raghubir informed the police administration and after some time members of the Wildlife Department and Vande Mataram team reached the spot. The members of this team rescued Sambhar after about 2 hours of hard work by setting a net around the house.
Ambala Wildlife Department employee Bharat Kumar told Local 18 that he had received information late in the evening that Sambar (deer species) had entered the house of a farmer in village Dera of Narayangarh, after which the team of Wildlife Department and Vande Mataram Dal reached the spot. He said that due to the huge crowd of people during this time, he had to face a lot of problems in rescuing Sambhar. He told that the team had to work hard for about 2 hours by setting a net and then they rescued it and then released it in Morni forest on the instructions of higher officials. He said that during the rescue, Sambhar had attacked him several times, in which Vande Mataram team members Rajkumar and Ramchandra also suffered many injuries.
Animals straying into residential areas
He told that often these wild creatures lose their way from the hilly areas and come to the populated areas, because the interference of human species in the forests has increased. He said that this Sambhar deer species is becoming extinct in India. Bharat Kumar told that in the year 2023 also, he had rescued Sambhar of the same species from Jaggi Colony in Baldev Nagar area of Ambala. Similarly, he too had lost his way from the hilly area and came to the residential area. Even in the year 2024, a Sambhar was rescued from near Kalpi area of Ambala.
