Tallest Building in World: If you are asked which is the tallest building in the world, then the only name that will come will be Burj Khalifa, but soon this view is going to change. Saudi Arabia has made preparations to build an even bigger building in its country.

But, it is 100 percent true that a building taller than Burj Khalifa will soon be built in the world. Its construction work has already started and till now 80 floors have been built. The target is that this building will be ready by the year 2028. Now the question must be arising in your mind that where is such a magnificent building being built.
You will be surprised to know that this building is once again being built in the Gulf country. While Burj Khalifa is built in UAE city Dubai, this new building is being built in Saudi Arabia. The Crown Prince of Saudi has made preparations to build a building bigger than Burj Khalifa in his country. Its name will be Jeddah Tower and its height will be one kilometer i.e. about 1,000 meters. According to Gulf News, this tower will be ready by the year 2028. So far its 80 floors have been constructed.
How much higher than Burj Khalifa
The height of Burj Khalifa built in Dubai is 828 meters, in which 163 floors are built. This means that Jeddah Tower will be 172 meters taller than this building and the number of floors in it will also be more. The most surprising thing is that the construction work of Jeddah Tower started in the year 2025 and the target is to complete it in just three years. Saudi Crown Prince Bin Sal Al Saud had set a target of building it by the year 2030, but it is believed that the tower will be ready by 2028.
where is the building being built
This tower is being built in Jeddah city of Saudi Arabia, that is why it has been named Jeddah Tower. It is an economic city, like Mumbai. Although the construction of the building was announced in the year 2011, but the construction work has started now. The surprising thing is that the 63 floors of the building were constructed long ago, but after allegations of corruption, it was stopped and now the construction work has started again. It will be equipped with all the world class facilities, so that it can compete with Burj Khalifa not only in height but also in luxury.
Who designed the tower?
Earlier the name of this tower was Kingdom Tower, which was later changed to Jeddah Tower after the name of the city. This tower has been designed by American architect Adrian Smith, who has designed the Burj Khalifa. Its shape will look like three petals i.e. the English letter Y. Its design is said to be inspired by the leaves of plants growing in the desert. This building is being built on the banks of the Red Sea. There will be about 59 elevators in this building, some of which will be double decker i.e. two storey and 12 escalators are being built. Its external walls have been designed in such a way that they reduce energy consumption and protect the building from heat.
