Actually, a wildlife trail camera installed in Cleveland Metroparks has recorded a rare wild animal named ‘Fisher’. The special thing is that this animal has been seen in Cuyahoga County after more than 100 years. According to park officials, this is the first confirmed presence of this species since the 1800s. The video footage was recorded earlier this year, in which Fischer is seen speeding past the camera and even looking at the camera for a moment.

These creatures are very rare

According to the department, by the middle of the 19th century this animal had disappeared from most parts of Ohio. The main reason for this was the rapid deforestation and uncontrolled hunting. At that time, Fisher was hunted on a large scale for fur, due to which its numbers continued to decline rapidly. Besides, its natural habitats also got destroyed due to human activities. Due to all these reasons, this animal almost became extinct from the area for many decades.
