The farmers of Amanari are always in the news due to their new experiments and advanced farming methods. Village farmer Ram Prasad Kushwaha says that till the year 2000, completely traditional farming was being done here, but after that the farmers adopted advanced technology and started diversifying farming.
Hazaribagh: Hazaribagh district of Jharkhand is an agricultural area. About two-thirds of the population here is dependent on agriculture. Generally, most of the farmers in the district have been doing traditional farming, although in many areas, advanced cultivation of vegetables is also done on a large scale. Meanwhile, there is also a village in the district, which is called the village of progressive farmers. This village is Amanari village of the district. This village located in Sadar block is just 10 kilometers away from the district headquarters and has a special identity for agricultural innovations.
Farmers of Amanari did new experiments

Today the farmers here are producing better production by cultivating different crops throughout the year.
Amanari cultivation reached abroad
Ram Prasad Kushwaha further says that there are about 50 farmer families in the village, many of whom have been sent by the Government of India to take training in advanced farming abroad. He himself has gone to Israel and received training. Its effect is clearly visible in village farming. Crops grown here in many countries of the world are now being grown in villages also.
Grown black wheat, Chinese cabbage, American beetroot
This year, the farmers of Amanari cultivated such crops like black wheat, black gram, Chinese cabbage, American beetroot, white turnip on a large scale, which other farmers usually do not grow. This has resulted in a significant increase in their income.
Increased income from diversified farming
Farmers in Amanari work on specific cropping systems, mixed farming, diversified farming, organic farming and integrated farming models. They also select crops which fall in the category of cash crops, which gives them better economic returns. Apart from farming, the income of the village people is also strengthened by animal husbandry, fisheries and poultry farming. The state government also honors these progressive farmers in various agricultural fairs, due to which Amanari village remains in the news continuously.
