Where earlier the local people were given the facility of electric buses on local routes, now they have also got the facility of bus queue shelter. With this facility, the passengers will not only get comfort but will also be able to get correct information about the timings of the buses.
Some time ago, a big project to build a bus queue shelter was prepared by the Municipal Council. The cost of this project has been kept at approximately Rs 2 crore 16 lakh. Under this, a total of 23 bus queue shelters are to be built in Ambala, out of which the construction of 5 bus queue shelters has been completed. After the construction of the new bus queue shelter, the people of Ambala seem very happy and are also thanking Minister Anil Vij.
Now people will be able to wait for the bus comfortably
Local 18 talked to the local people about this, in which Mukul Singh, a resident of Panjokhara Sahib, said that he often comes to the civil hospital to get medicines, but due to lack of bus facility here, he used to face a lot of trouble. Now after the bus queue shelter is built, they will be able to sit comfortably and wait for their bus. He also told that the time table of buses is also installed in the shelter, due to which information about the exact time will be easily available.
At the same time, Ambala resident Aarti Sehgal said that now people’s security will also increase. Earlier, people used to stand on the roadside outside the hospital and wait for the bus, due to which there was a risk of accident. But now people will be able to sit and wait for their bus safely and this facility will be very useful especially in winter.
Passengers will get bus on time, children will also get relief
Local resident Naib Singh said that with the construction of bus queue shelter in Ambala, passengers will be able to get buses on time. He said that buses originating from the bus stand will now stop here and passengers will be able to reach their destination easily. Earlier the buses did not stop outside the hospital, but now after the construction of these shelters, the buses will stop at their designated place.
Monica Devi said that earlier there used to be crowd due to waiting for the bus and school children also faced a lot of trouble. But now the buses will stop directly at the queue shelter, which will reduce the jam and the possibility of accidents will also reduce.
All bus queue shelters will be completed by June 2026
Municipal Council EO Devendra Narwal said that this project was prepared in collaboration with Roadways. Under this, bus queue shelters are being built at a total of 23 places. So far, shelters have been built in Capital Janata Chowk, Subhash Park, Civil Hospital, and Boh Babyal. He said that the work on the remaining shelters will also be completed by June 2026. With their construction, people will get a lot of benefit and they will be able to sit comfortably and wait for the bus.
