Nainital News: Terrorist connection of Banbhulpura area of Haldwani has come to light. In the early hours of Saturday, the National Investigation Agency and Uttarakhand STF have arrested two people from Azad Nagar area of Banbhulpura, one of which is the Imam of the mosque and the other is his associate.
Nainital: The links of Delhi bomb blast are now being connected to Uttarakhand also. Earlier, information was received about Dr. Umar that he had talked to a doctor from Dehradun and a woman from Pithoragarh. So now NIA has reached Haldwani and Nainital. In Haldwani, NIA has taken two suspects into custody. Whereas the Imam of Tallital Mosque of Nainital is being interrogated. Information has been received quoting sources that statements of Imam Mohammad Naeem and his wife and son have also been recorded separately. However, the investigation is still going on.

The name of the arrested Imam is Maulana Asim Qasmi, who was the Imam of Bilali Masjid built in Azadnagar, Banbhulpura.
Not only this, along with giving Islamic education in the area, Maulana Asim also used to make religious posts on social media platforms. Along with Maulana, NIA has also arrested his associate, whose name is Nazar Kamal, who is an electrician. But most of his time was spent with Maulana. Nazar Kamal is a resident of Gaujajali, Haldwani. However, no official statement has come from the police or the National Investigation Agency on the arrest of both. But everyone is surprised when Devbhoomi’s suspected terrorist connection has come to light.
