New Delhi. Trains going towards Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh will run on time. Not only this, the number of trains can be increased. So that people are not forced to travel in crowded trains. Indian Railways has used the new technology Automatic Block Signaling System on a section of Jhansi Division. With this, trains will run more safely.
Automatic block signaling technology has been successfully started on Saturday on Banmore-Sank-Morena railway section of Jhansi division. With this new technology, trains can now run safely behind each other even at short distances, which will increase the line capacity of the section. Also, the punctuality of trains will improve. At the same time, this technology will reduce the possibility of human errors during train operations, which will further ensure the safety of passengers.
Under this project, a total of two block sections were commissioned in a single day, which is a huge task in difficult terrain. Electronic interlocking technology at three major stations (Banmore, Sank, Morena) has been upgraded, making signal operations more accurate and faster. 104 state-of-the-art track detection equipment has been installed in this section, which detects train position accurately and makes signaling more reliable.
Apart from this, thirteen signals have now been upgraded to four-sided, which gives clear signals to the loco pilot from a distance and improves the speed and control of the train. Apart from this, Interlock Level Crossing Gate No. 446 located in this section has also been adapted to the Automatic Block Signal System, further improving the safety of pedestrians and road users crossing the gate. So far in this financial year, a total of 11 block sections (92.75 km) have been commissioned on the Delhi-Chennai main line route of Jhansi Division.
