New Delhi. Fog: Many important trains will either be completely canceled or will not run for a few days for the next three months. Indian Railways has taken a big decision to run trains safely from 1 December 2025 to 28 February 2026. These trains run to many cities of North India. There is fog in many areas here in December, January and February.
According to the Railways, the number of weekly trains running has been reduced and some trains will be partially canceled (between some stations). Railways has appealed to the passengers to check their train schedule before planning their journey.
These trains are canceled
Train No, 12988/12987 Ajmer-Sealdah-Ajmer Express will be canceled for 3 days every week in December, January and February,
Train No, 12180/12179 Agra Fort-Lucknow Jn,-Agra Fort Intercity will be completely canceled every Saturday-Sunday,
Train No, 11905/11906 Agra Cantt-Hoshiarpur Express will not run three days a week,
Train No, 64074/64073 New Delhi-Kosi Kalan-New Delhi Passenger
51907/51908/51909/51910 All passenger trains running between Idgah Jn.-Bharatpur will remain completely closed from 1 December 2025 to 28 February 2026.

Train Number- 12280/12279 New Delhi-Veerangana Lakshmibai Jhansi Taj Express will terminate at Gwalior only, will not go between Gwalior-Jhansi,
Train No, 12177/12178 Howrah-Mathura-Howrah Chambal Express will not run between Agra Cantt-Mathura,
Decision taken due to very low visibility
According to Shashikant Tripathi, Chief Public Relations Officer of Northern Railway, visibility reduces greatly in fog, due to which the risk of accident increases. Therefore, every year some cancellations are made in winter so that the remaining trains can run on time and safely. Passengers are requested to check the latest train status on IRCTC website, NTES app or helpline 139 before planning travel in December 2025, January 2026 and February 2026. Passengers whose tickets are in these canceled trains will automatically get full refund.
