However, most people are ignoring the fact that Sierra is also the most practical SUV in its segment, because it has a huge boot space. According to reports, its boot is so big that it even leaves behind some popular MPVs, especially when the third row is folded.

It has a boot space of 622 litres, which is the highest in this segment. Its nearest competitor MG Astor has a capacity of 488 litres. These figures prove that Sierra has no competition in terms of rear boot capacity.

Tata Sierra is not only the boot space champion in the mid-size SUV segment, but it also leaves behind popular MPVs like Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and Toyota Rumion. Ertiga and Rumion have only 209 liters of boot space with the third row. Even with the third row folded, it offers only 550 liters of space, which is less than the Sierra’s 622 litres.

Talking about Kia Carens, it has a boot space of 216 liters with the third row. When the third row is folded it reaches 645 litres. However, it is worth noting that the Sierra, which is not an MPV, offers only 23 liters less space than the Carens. This makes the Sierra one of the most practical mid-size SUVs on the market. Apart from the size of the boot space, Tata Motors has also ensured that the wide and downward opening tailgate of the Sierra makes it easy to load and unload bulky items. Also, the flat boot floor and low wheel arch intrusion make it easier to fit more luggage in the boot. Even if 622 liters seems less, the capacity can be increased to 1,257 liters by folding the middle row.
