Patna: Due to the cold westerly winds that have been blowing in Bihar for the last several days, the temperature is continuously going down. As soon as the sun sets, people are feeling Kankani. But now there is going to be a big change in the weather. This time Western Disturbance has become active, which is being considered as the first strong system of this season. Due to its effect, the weather will suddenly change in most areas of Bihar. There is a possibility of severe cold and cold wave like situation. This means that the cold may increase further in the coming days. Situations like cold day and cold wave may also arise.
When will the effect of western disturbance be visible?
According to the forecast issued by Bihar Meteorological Service Center, due to the effect of possible western disturbance, there is a possibility of drop in temperature in many districts like West Champaran, East Champaran, Sheohar, Sitamarhi, Gopalganj and Siwan from December 1. This can cause rapid increase in cold. Here, IMD has also said in its forecast that cold may increase from the beginning of December. There is every possibility of the temperature falling.
How will the weather be today?
Today i.e. Saturday the beginning of the morning is wrapped in fog. There is moderate to heavy fog in districts like Patna, Purnia, West Champaran, Gopalganj, Sitamarhi. Dew is frozen in the fields. The effect of fog was also seen on Friday. That is why the lowest visibility recorded in Purnia was 500 meters.
Dry weather conditions are likely to prevail with cloudy sky in most parts during the day. The maximum temperature is expected to remain between 26-30°C in most parts. The minimum temperature is likely to be between 10-12°C in south-eastern and north-eastern districts and 12-15°C in other parts of the state. Along with this, there is a possibility of westerly wind at moderate to strong speed (up to 40 km/hr) in most parts throughout the day. People will continue to feel Kankani.
A look at the weather during the last 24 hours
Fluctuations in temperature have been seen in Bihar during the last 24 hours. The highest maximum temperature of 31.2 degrees Celsius was recorded in Forbesganj of Araria. Apart from this, the temperature in districts like Motihari, Madhepura, Kishanganj and Purnia also remained around 30 degrees. On the other hand, the maximum temperature in Gaya, Kaimur, Nalanda and Muzaffarpur remained between 27 to 28 degrees.
Talking about minimum temperature, the night weather was harsh at many places. The minimum temperature was recorded at 8.3 degrees Celsius in Adhora block located in Bhabhua of Kaimur district. This is the lowest in entire Bihar. Apart from this, the night temperature in Rohtas, Gaya, West Champaran, East Champaran also remained between 10 to 12 degrees. In districts of North Bihar like Sitamarhi, Madhubani, Supaul, Katihar and Araria, the minimum temperature remained around 13 to 15 degrees.
